Becoming a Member
Membership is both a personal and a public commitment. Members share talents, energy, and mutual caring with others who journey along spiritual paths that are open-minded, inclusive, reasoned, and compassionate. Members support the Principles of the Unitarian Universalist Association. They also support both the church and the denomination by volunteering their talents and time as well as by giving financially to nurture the ideals we prize.
Requirements for Membership
- Attend Services regularly over a 2-3 month period to get the full flavor of our community.
- Attend an Inquirers Luncheon and/or a "New UU" session.
- Let the Membership Committee know that you are interested in joining by emailing membership@uucss.org.
Expectations
We expect members to attend services regularly, continue to grow spiritually, serve the congregation with time and talents, make a financial pledge that is as generous as circumstances permit, foster service to others, and participate in the wider Unitarian Universalist movement.
Welcoming Our New Members
We hold a New Member Joining Ceremony once a month, usually on the first Sunday, at 10:45 a.m. between the two services in the front of the Sanctuary.
