Greeter
Before the service
- You will find a greeter’s name tag at the end of the name tags.
- Weather permitting, it is best to be stationed just outside the double doors into the new sanctuary building. Help in opening the doors is a gracious gesture. During the winter or on rainy Sundays you may stand just inside those same double doors so you can easily help anyone who is not familiar with our facilities.
- Give your friendliest welcome to everyone and make sure visitors know which direction to go. Invite visitors to stop at the visitors table in the foyer to make a name tag and to pick up printed information about UUCSS.
- If visitors have children you should know that:
- A sign indicating where young people will be on Sunday is in the lower lobby
- If families arrive late the nursery helper may be seated in the
service--there will be a designated chair
- During the service we have child care and religious education classes for children and young people of all ages. Our Nursery is in the lower level of the Sanctuary building. If you have questions Mandy Keithan, Director of Religious Education, or any member of the Religious Education Committee will be happy to answer them.
- Please stay at the entry for the first 10 minutes of the service because frequently first time visitors do not arrive exactly on time.
After the service
- Take Polaroid camera from the Visitors desk and photograph new members who have just signed the Membership book
- During coffee hour, please introduce yourself to visitors and visitors to our members.
